Alpine has unveiled a new electric rally car based on their A290 road car, set to debut in competition by the end of 2025. The A290 Rallye is designed according to FIA’s eRally5 regulations, featuring a stock motor, inverter, and battery. This model pays tribute to Alpine’s heritage in rally, celebrating the brand’s 70th anniversary. The A290 Rallye is aimed at promoting electric competition, starting with a one-make rally challenge in France this year. It boasts a 220 horsepower electric motor, front axle transmission with a ZF limited-slip differential, and a unique sound system. Priced at €59,990, the Alpine A290 Rallye will premiere at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Rallye Mont-Blanc Morzine before entering open competition.
