Jorge Martin’s representative went to Assen to jump-start negotiations with Aprilia for his early contract release, aiming to reach a resolution before his potential return at the Czech GP.
Despite efforts, discussions between Martin and Aprilia have hit a deadlock, prompting talks about his contractual status for the upcoming seasons.
If an agreement is not reached, there might be a legal battle, extending the uncertainty surrounding Martin’s racing future.
To avoid a lengthy court process, Martin’s manager, Albert Valera, is advocating for the adoption of a Contract Recognition Board (CRB) similar to F1, which could resolve disputes more efficiently.
The CRB, a model established in Formula 1, acts as an independent arbiter in contractual conflicts, offering a binding resolution on the validity of driver contracts.
