Despite inclement weather and red flags, EchoPark Speedway delivered a thrilling race on Saturday night, featuring a last-lap pass by hometown hero Chase Elliott. The race, part of a five-week in-season challenge, saw Hendrick Motorsports’ teamwork shine through, with Elliott securing a long-awaited victory. However, Brad Keselowski ended up as a loser, missing out on a crucial playoff spot with a runner-up finish.
The racetrack itself emerged as a big winner, hosting one of the most exciting races of the year with intense action and multiple lead changes. Unfortunately, pretty much everyone involved in the 23-car pileup during the race ended up as losers, with many drivers unable to continue. On a positive note, Ty Dillon pulled off an upset in the in-season tournament, advancing despite being seeded lower than the favorites.
