Marc Marquez, the current leader of the MotoGP championship, held off intense pressure from Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi to secure a victory at the Dutch Grand Prix in Assen this Sunday.
His lead in the world championship now stands at a commanding 68 points, with his closest competitor, brother Alex Marquez, crashing out on his Gresini Ducati and sustaining a fractured left hand.
Despite starting from pole position, Fabio Quartararo had a disappointing day and finished the race in 10th place.
