Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of MotoGP promoter Dorna, has warned about not accepting Jorge Martin’s entry for next year’s championship unless his dispute with Aprilia is settled. Martin claims a clause in his contract with Aprilia allows him to be free for 2026 due to performance-based reasons, but Aprilia disputes this claim. Ezpeleta stated that no rider will be accepted in the world championship without being legally free or having reached an agreement with the relevant party. Aprilia continues to assert that Martin is bound by his contract, while Honda is interested in signing him pending contract resolution. Dorna, under Ezpeleta, emphasizes the importance of contractual integrity in MotoGP, a stance supported by Aprilia and Honda.
