Quartararo Claims Dominance with Fourth Pole at Dutch GP as Marquez Falls Short

Fabio Quartararo secured his fourth MotoGP pole position of the year in Assen, living up to the return to form he had promised before the Dutch Grand Prix weekend. Francesco Bagnaia and Alex Marquez will accompany Quartararo on the front row, with Marc Marquez starting in fourth place.

The Yamaha rider’s strong performance at Assen mirrored his earlier pole wins at Jerez, Le Mans, and Silverstone. Despite recent struggles in Aragon and Italy, Quartararo showed consistent speed in practice sessions leading up to the race weekend.

Marc Marquez faced challenges due to two falls on Friday but managed to secure a fourth-place start. Marco Bezzecchi and Franco Morbidelli will join him on the second row for Aprilia and VR46 Ducati, respectively.

Raul Fernandez topped Q1, continuing his impressive form, while his teammate Ai Ogura struggled and will start from the 20th position. Fermin Aldeguer progressed from Q1 and secured a seventh-place grid spot, ahead of Fabio di Giannantonio and Pedro Acosta on row three.

KTM didn’t achieve the desired qualifying results, with Maverick Vinales starting from 10th place on row four. Lorenzo Savadori, Aprilia’s development rider, will begin the race from 15th place on row five, behind Joan Mir and Jack Miller.
