Aprilia Revs Up for Major Milestone with Special Test Ahead of Martin’s MotoGP Comeback

Aprilia is waiting for medical clearance in order to organize a special test for Jorge Martin to return to the RS-GP in MotoGP.
Martin’s medical check-up is set for the first week of July, after the Dutch Grand Prix, which will be his 9th consecutive missed race due to injury in the 2025 season.
His recovery is nearly complete, and a concrete return plan is expected to be determined following the upcoming check-up with Dr. Angel Charte.
Martin first got injured on 5 February during pre-season testing, missed multiple races due to injuries, and suffered a serious crash during his comeback at the Qatar GP.
Aprilia, after proposing a regulation change, is now waiting for Jorge’s medical clearance to schedule a private test session, with potential dates set after Martin’s anticipated return in mid-July.
The anticipated dates for the test session are pointing towards the Misano Circuit in the second week of July, possibly on the 8th or 9th.
Both Aprilia and Jorge Martin have not publicly confirmed a return date yet, but sources indicate that the Czech GP in mid-July is likely when the reigning world champion might make his comeback.
