Work is ongoing around the clock for the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid, with organizers confident of meeting the deadline despite local resistance. Construction started a month ago on the Madring circuit, set to debut next September using existing streets and a purpose-built road section around IFEMA fairgrounds and Real Madrid’s training complex. The highlight of the track is La Monumental, a steep banking with a massive grandstand, requiring extensive landscaping. Approximately 85 workers are currently on-site, expected to grow to 400 during active construction in all areas. The circuit’s design prioritizes banning track limits issues, ensuring a unique and challenging experience for drivers and fans.
