Yamaha has signed Andrea Dovizioso as a MotoGP test rider and rider performance advisor until 2027. Dovizioso comes out of retirement to join Yamaha after being a factory Ducati rider. He is praised for his technical knowledge and feedback skills by Yamaha’s managing director. Dovizioso is eager to contribute to Yamaha’s MotoGP project and improve rider performance. His goal is to create synergy between all stakeholders involved in bike development. Cal Crutchlow, also a Yamaha test rider, was not mentioned in the announcement.
