Floury acknowledged that Toyota didn’t achieve their goal of winning the event, citing the predictability of the outcome every year. Despite a strong race from the #8 car, technical issues and lack of performance hindered Toyota’s competitiveness, frustrating Floury. The team faced challenges with tire strategy and top speed compared to their competitors, resulting in a fifth and 15th place finish for the Japanese constructor. Despite obstacles, the #7 Toyota entry managed to secure a fifth-place finish post-race after an incident on the first lap.
