Sebastien Bourdais acknowledged that Cadillac still needs to make improvements after its factory cars at the 2025 Le Mans 24 Hours did not reach the podium despite starting from first and second positions.
The #12 and #38 Jota entries faced early pace issues, being passed by competitors like the #5 Porsche in the first minute and dropping out of the top 10 by the third hour.
Eventually, the #12 car driven by Alex Lynn, Norman Nato and Will Stevens finished fifth, while the #38 car dealt with punctures and penalties, ending up in seventh place.
Bourdais expressed disappointment in the team’s performance, emphasizing that they need to enhance their consistency and tire degradation during long runs to be competitive in WEC races.
Despite setbacks, Bourdais set the fastest lap of the race, showcasing the Cadillac V-Series.R’s potential in high-speed corners and reaffirming their capabilities.
