Pirelli has scheduled its first MotoGP test in early September at Misano to trial its new compounds for the 2027 season.
The switch to Pirelli tyres from Michelin was part of the revised technical regulations for 2027, with Pirelli already working in Moto2, Moto3, F1, and World Superbikes.
The manufacturer has ramped up its prototype compounds’ development and looks forward to rider feedback during the Misano test.
Originally planned after the Aragon GP, logistical issues caused a delay, but Pirelli is now set to test on September 16.
Teams will provide test riders and bikes to simulate the 2027 prototypes, offering insights into tyre performance.
