On Sunday in Mexico City, Shane van Gisbergen dominated the race, winning by almost 17 seconds ahead of Christopher Bell and Chase Elliott. Despite facing aircraft troubles and illness, Van Gisbergen’s car performance was outstanding, allowing him to secure the victory. He expressed his joy and gratitude to his team, Chevy, and ECR engines for their support during the challenging weekend. His flawless final run in the rain ensured that no competitor could come close to challenging him. This win marks his second Cup Series victory, propelling him into the playoffs and joining teammate Ross Chastain, who won the Coca-Cola 600. Following the podium finishers were Alex Bowman and Michael McDowell in the top five, while John-Hunter Nemechek, Chase Briscoe, Cole Custer, William Byron, and Chris Buescher completed the top ten.
