NASCAR is racing in Mexico City this weekend, and Joey Logano, a three-time Cup Series champion, spoke exclusively to Motorsport.com in preparation for the event. Despite his past road course struggles, Logano is excited about the unique race at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, a track new to most drivers in the field. This marks the first points-paying Cup race outside the US in 67 years, hinting at potential international expansion for NASCAR. Logano sees Mexico as a good start towards that international growth, but acknowledges the challenges and opportunities that come with it. While not known for his road course performances, Logano remains optimistic and open-minded about NASCAR’s evolving landscape and the possibilities it presents for the sport and its competitors.
