Touring car legend Gabriele Tarquini has been appointed as sporting director of the new Genesis World Endurance Championship Hypercar squad for the 2026 season.
Tarquini retired from racing in 2021 after a successful career and is now focusing on his new role with Genesis Magma Racing.
He brings his wealth of experience as a driver, coach, and team manager to this new challenge in the WEC.
Among the other key appointments at Genesis are Justin Taylor as chief engineer and Anouck Abadie as team manager.
The team is building towards the debut of their Genesis GMR-001 Hypercar, scheduled to hit the track in August.
