Revving Up for 2026: WEC Sticks to Schedule as Le Mans Faces F1 Clash

The 2026 World Endurance Championship calendar will consist of eight races, with familiar venues and no Silverstone, and the Le Mans 24 Hours coinciding with the Formula 1 Barcelona race.

The season will kick off in Qatar on 28 March, delayed due to Ramadan, followed by Imola, Spa, and the prestigious Le Mans race in June.

The series will then travel to Brazil, Austin, Fuji, and conclude in Bahrain on 7 November, maintaining a stable and successful schedule.

WEC boss Frederic Lequien expressed satisfaction with the calendar that showcases unique challenges and brings out the best from drivers and teams worldwide.

The decision not to include Silverstone was based on the desire to uphold a winning formula and format that has contributed to the championship’s recent growth and stability, according to ACO President Pierre Fillon and FIA’s Endurance Commission president Richard Mille.
