During the Monday test day at Aragon, MotoGP reintroduced rider radio devices aimed at enhancing safety communication with riders, with competitors like Alex Marquez, Brad Binder, Lorenzo Savadori, and Johann Zarco testing it out.
Savadori, who had prior experience with the device, found the communication with race direction in the pit box positive, although clarity during high-speed straight runs remains a minor challenge due to helmet movement.
Despite initial adaptation uncertainties, Savadori believes the adjustment won’t pose significant issues if managed properly by the team.
Marquez, after testing the device for the first time, expressed some doubts about its clarity, especially during faster laps, emphasizing the need to enhance communication during push laps for optimal effectiveness.
While the radio device’s bone conduction technology is generally well-received, ensuring clear communication at all times, especially during intense racing scenarios, remains a key focus for MotoGP in their quest for improved safety measures.
