The Thrilling Triumph: Algieri Emerges Victorious in Chaotic Mini Showdown at Thruxton

The final Mini Challenge Trophy race at the high-speed Thruxton circuit last weekend was filled with frenetic action, with the lead trio battling fiercely and a chaotic 12-car fight for fourth place. Cars cutting the chicane were more common than making the corner, with constant side-by-side battles on Woodham Hill.

Gabe Fairbrother, Olivier Algieri, and Rhys Hurd engaged in a thrilling battle for the lead, with positions constantly changing. Fairbrother led but encountered engine issues, allowing Algieri and Hurd to fight for the win. Algieri made a bold move around the outside at Club to take the checkered flag in a dramatic finish.

Despite not having ABS, Hurd finished second, with Fairbrother in third, while Alex Keens emerged as the new points leader. The reversed-grid race saw intense competition, with Jenson Mason leading a close pack of Minis to victory.

Virtuosi drivers dominated the British Formula 4 weekend at Thruxton, with Martin Molnar winning the first race and guest Salim Hanna taking victory in the finale. Molnar’s strong performance propelled him to the points lead, marking a successful weekend for the Virtuosi team.
