Ogier Claims Victory in Sardinia, Yet Stay True to Limited WRC Campaign Scope

Sebastien Ogier has made it clear that he does not intend to compete in a full World Rally Championship season, despite his recent triumph in Sardinia which elevated him to second place in the standings.

With impressive performances in his part-time campaign for Toyota, Ogier now stands 19 points behind the championship leader Elfyn Evans, showcasing his potential even while skipping some events.

Ogier, who ended last season with an expanded schedule at Toyota’s request, has no plans to add more rallies to his current schedule and will take a break after the upcoming event in Greece.

Reflecting on his victorious run in Sardinia, which marked his fifth win at the rally, Ogier expressed pride in his team’s performance despite a minor setback on the final Power Stage.

While he admitted to a small mistake during the Power Stage, costing the team some points, Ogier was overall pleased with the weekend’s results and the improvements made to his car.
