Hyundai took the lead at Rally Sardinia with Adrien Fourmaux leading teammate Thierry Neuville and Toyota’s Sebastien Ogier, while Ott Tanak closely followed in fourth. Fourmaux’s strong performance in stage three propelled him to the front, with Neuville briefly leading after stage two. Ogier, despite starting third on the road, was content with his morning run through the opening stage. Tanak faced challenges with car rotation, while Toyota’s Sami Pajari capitalized on his road position to briefly hold third place. M-Sport encountered a nightmare with a triple retirement, but hopes to have two cars rejoin the rally on the following day.
