Revving Up for Victory: Ferrari Secures BoP Boost for Le Mans 24 Hours

Ferrari is aiming for a hat-trick at Le Mans 24 Hours with their lighter and more powerful 499P Le Mans Hypercar this year, featuring a reduced minimum weight of 1042kg and maximum power increased to 515kW, although it will lose power above 250km/h due to Balance of Performance adjustments.

The BoP changes for Ferrari represent a significant swing from their performance at Spa, with Toyota also receiving a power increase for their GR010 HYBRID LMH, reaching a maximum of 520kW, ahead of the Le Mans race.

Other manufacturers like Cadillac, Alpine, Porsche, Peugeot, and BMW have also seen power adjustments for their LMDh and LMH challengers since the previous Le Mans event.

The BoP specifics for each manufacturer have been carefully calculated, with Le Mans having its unique BoP system based on simulations rather than race performance averages like regular WEC rounds.

Overall, the hypercar class at Le Mans is gearing up for an exciting battle of performance and strategy, with each manufacturer and team aiming for success on the iconic Circuit de la Sarthe.
