However, during the 2025 F1 season, spectators may have observed the waving of two chequered flags at certain grand prix events, such as in Suzuka, Miami, and Barcelona. While the first flag, adorned with the FIA logo, officially indicates the end of the race, the second flag waved from the pitwall serves as a marketing spectacle, devoid of any regulatory function. This secondary flag features the names of fans who have purchased a space on it, with pricing ranging from €241.95 for the Hungarian GP flag to €665.95 for the Las Vegas flag. Following the race, fans receive a framed memento containing a photo of the flag, the original cut-out panel with their name, and a certificate of authenticity, making it a unique opportunity to be part of F1 history.
