Driving Change: Lewis Hamilton Partners with Keir Starmer for Education Reform

Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to discuss education reform and further his commitment to the Mission 44 project.

Hamilton, coming off a sixth-place finish in the Spanish Grand Prix, participated in a roundtable with Starmer and Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson at 10 Downing Street to explore government support for schools and students.

The initiative was launched in 2021 by Hamilton to create a more inclusive future for youth globally and provide access to STEM careers, based on his own educational challenges.

Hamilton expressed gratitude for the government’s collaboration with Mission 44 to foster inclusive changes in the education system and support vulnerable students nationwide.

Reflecting on his mental health struggles stemming from childhood bullying and academic pressures, Hamilton emphasized the importance of addressing mental well-being for young individuals.

Hamilton’s Mission 44 recently partnered with Ferrari sponsor HP, aiming to equip young people in the UK and Miami with technology, training, digital skills, and mentorship opportunities to enhance career prospects and workforce development.
