Piastri managed to secure pole position ahead of Norris during qualifying, with Norris benefiting from a slipstream during a Q3 session. Despite Piastri calling Norris’s move “cheeky,” Stella downplayed the incident, encouraging open communication among the drivers. Stella stressed the team’s policy of promoting transparency and open dialogue between drivers to avoid internal conflicts. McLaren’s focus is on learning from the incident and ensuring that all team members feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and concerns openly.
