Despite Red Bull instructing Verstappen to give up fourth place to Russell, a clash between the two drivers ensued at Turn 5 on lap 64.
Verstappen expressed his frustration on Instagram, citing the safety car restart and tyre strategy as contributing factors. He emphasized his commitment to the team and acknowledged that emotions can run high in racing. Despite the incident, Verstappen concluded his post with a positive note, looking forward to the next race in Montreal.
