Will Brown, the 26-year-old defending champion of the Australian Supercars Series, boasts eleven career wins and a third-place finish at the Bathurst 1000 last year. Apart from his successful Supercars journey, Brown has claimed victory twice in the Bathurst 12 Hours. Making his Cup debut last year for Richard Childress Racing at Sonoma, he finished 31st after starting 24th. Brown is set to return for the Chicago Street Course race, driving the No. 13 Chevrolet as a teammate to AJ Allmendinger and Ty Dillon, with MobileX backing the effort as the primary sponsor as before. The Australian driver eyes the Grant Park 165 as an opportunity to shine in NASCAR, following the path paved by compatriot Shane van Gisbergen, and aims to become the first Australian-born driver to win at the Cup level since 2012.
