Quartararo’s Clash: A Call for Consistency in MotoGP

At the recent French Grand Prix, Fabio Quartararo faced an issue with marshals when they refused to bump-start his Yamaha after a crash, leading to his race ending prematurely. Quartararo emphasized the need for better alignment and consistency in push-starting MotoGP bikes to prevent such incidents in the future. Despite the clash in Le Mans and being penalized, Quartararo remains optimistic about his performance at the upcoming British GP.

He expressed frustration over the lack of coordination among marshals, stressing the importance of a united effort when push-starting a MotoGP bike. Quartararo was barred from the first 10 minutes of Free Practice 1 at Silverstone following the incident, marking his second altercation with circuit workers in as many weeks. Despite the challenges, Quartararo remains confident in the progress made by Yamaha in the engine department and is hopeful for a strong showing at Silverstone. Additionally, Yamaha is expected to introduce a new in-line four engine during the season, separate from the V4 project planned for 2026.
