Breaking News: Jorge Martin Sparks Early Aprilia Exit Talks, Fireworks Unfold!

Jorge Martin plans to leave Aprilia after the 2025 MotoGP season if he doesn’t perform well enough, according to information obtained by Motorsport.com. Martin’s contract with Aprilia for the second season in 2026 may not be binding due to a contractual clause.

Following several injuries this season, Martin has yet to score a single point and is at the bottom of the standings. This unexpected turn of events may lead to changes in the rider market as Aprilia tries to keep Martin from leaving without having a fair chance to compete.

Martin informed Aprilia of his intention to activate the release clause, leading to shock and possible legal action from the team. Despite the potential conflict, Martin is open to extending the evaluation period until the San Marino GP in September.

Aprilia is considering blocking Martin’s exit, citing his injury-related absence and questioning the application of the clause. Martin, on the other hand, believes that the performance of the RS-GP has not met the expectations set by the manufacturer.
