Toyota has confirmed that Brad Jones Racing will be its second Supercars team in 2026, with the Albury-based team set to field four GR Supras next season alongside Walkinshaw Andretti United. The addition of BJR means there will be a total of six Toyotas on the grid, with WAU being the brand’s homologation team. Speculation had been high as to who would partner with WAU for the Supras, with initial expectations on Team 18, but recent developments have solidified BJR’s allegiance to GM. BJR team owner Brad Jones is excited about the new partnership and acknowledges the work ahead to establish the team. While BJR’s driver lineup for the 2026 season remains uncertain, the potential for a high-profile signing may put driver Macauley Jones in a vulnerable position. Additionally, WAU is planning to have a GR Supra prototype for testing in the latter part of the year, as the current Supercars season continues at Symmons Plains.
