Jake Hill began his quest for a second consecutive British Touring Car Championship title by winning the first race of the day at Brands Hatch, leading his teammate Charles Rainford.
Hill, driving for West Surrey Racing in a BMW, secured victory by 0.662 seconds, with Rainford impressing as a rookie.
The race saw Hill take the lead from pole position with Rainford following closely in second place.
Tom Ingram managed to overtake Adam Morgan to secure third place, but Rainford’s impressive performance in setting fastest laps kept him ahead.
Ultimately, Hill clinched the win, with Rainford second, Ingram in third, and Morgan in fourth place.
The exciting race also saw strong performances from other drivers, such as Dan Cammish finishing fifth in his NAPA Ford Focus ST.
