Franco Colapinto has been signed by Alpine as one of its reserve drivers for 2025. He joined the team after a successful stint in his F1 career, scoring five points in nine grands prix. Colapinto was considered as an option for Red Bull but ended up being linked to Alpine as a potential replacement for Jack Doohan. Alpine’s hiring of Colapinto gives them security in case Doohan doesn’t impress early in 2025. Colapinto expressed his excitement for the opportunity and gratitude towards Williams for their support. Alpine’s executive advisor, Flavio Briatore, praised Colapinto’s talent and highlighted the team’s focus on developing young drivers for future success.
