Four years ago at the Australian MotoGP, Marquez had an impressive save on his Honda at a sharp angle. However, this time, at the same section of the track, he had a fall, highlighting a disappointing Friday practice session where he finished 16th fastest. Marquez had two moments in Turn 10, with the second one almost resulting in a save like in 2019. The weather conditions have forced changes to the race schedule, with the full-length grand prix on Saturday and the sprint on Sunday. Marquez acknowledged that he lacks confidence, particularly on the faster corners, and is only pushing in the slow corners. Alex Rins, riding for Suzuki, had a better performance and Marquez noted the similarities in race pace between them. Ultimately, Marquez’s final races with Honda after 11 years seem to be concluding quietly.
