“Dakar Rally winners Toby Price and Sam Sunderland will switch from the motorcycle category to cars for the 2025 edition in January. Price and Sunderland will compete in an Overdrive Racing Toyota Hilux T1+ for the challenging Saudi Arabian rally raid from 3-17 January. Price, a two-time Dakar champion, will have Sunderland as his co-driver after the Australian’s contract with KTM was not renewed. The duo aims to become the next individuals to win Dakar in both car and bike categories, alongside Auriol, Peterhansel, and Roma. Sunderland expressed gratitude for the opportunity and excitement for the new venture alongside Price in the upcoming Dakar. Meanwhile, Toyota Gazoo Racing’s 2025 roster is expected to include Moraes/Monleon and Quintero/Zenz, while defending Dakar winner Carlos Sainz Sr will drive for Ford in the new Raptor T1+.”
