The organisers of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring have decided to allow more than 150 teams to participate in the upcoming race due to high demand.
Initially, a selection process was planned as there were 161 entries for the race, exceeding the limit set earlier.
It was decided that teams that had put effort and resources into preparing for the event deserved a chance to compete.
The race, considered one of the classic big four endurance events of the year, will be held on May 16-17th. Formula 1 driver Max Verstappen is expected to participate.
The official entry lists for the race are expected to be released later this week.
