Doriane Pin will be driving Mercedes’ W12 at Silverstone today, representing her F1 debut.
Reigning F1 Academy champion and Mercedes development driver Doriane Pin confirmed her debut in F1 machinery today.
Mercedes hinted on social media about an event taking place, revealing that Pin will drive at Silverstone.
During Saturday, Pin will test the Mercedes’ W12 from the 2021 season, marking her first experience in an F1 car.
Pin will be the first female driver to test a Mercedes F1 car in a TPC test (Testing of Previous Cars).
Mercedes welcomed Pin in 2024, providing support during her two seasons in the F1 Academy, ultimately leading to her role as an official development driver.
Her simulator work and progress paved the way for this F1 test opportunity to materialize.
