These modifications have been in use for over a year and have evolved through multiple updates by Dallara. The rear attenuators went through several updates during the 2023 and 2024 seasons to enhance their strength and performance, with mandatory modifications and updates issued by Dallara and IndyCar to ensure compliance and safety standards. The latest changes to the attenuators were implemented at the start of the 2024 season to improve their structural integrity and overall effectiveness based on detailed Finite Element Analysis.
