Marco Andretti will work with race engineering talents of Craig Hampson for his 19th attempt at winning the Indianapolis 500. Hampson previously worked with Andretti Global, Dale Coyne Racing, and Arrow McLaren before rejoining Andretti. Hampson’s return will begin at this week’s Indy Open Test with Andretti Global. Andretti aims to improve his past performances at Indy with Hampson’s oversight, aiming for a higher level of competitiveness. Together with technical director Eric Bretzman and other race engineers, they hope to secure the team’s first Indy 500 win since 2017 and first IndyCar championship since 2012.
