Suzuka Super Formula: Nojiri takes vital pole, Lawson P7
In the second segment of qualifying, Mugen driver Nojiri set the fastest lap time of 1m37.292s, securing the top spot on the grid. He narrowly beat championship leader Miyata by just over three tenths of a second. Nojiri earned three bonus points, while Miyata earned two. As a result, Nojiri is now nine points behind Miyata in the championship standings. Lawson, who did not equip fresh tires for the final part of qualifying, ended up almost six tenths of a second behind his teammate. The second row of the grid will be shared by Dandelion Racing drivers Makino and Ota, followed by Tsuboi and Hirakawa in fifth and sixth positions.
