Ferrari boss aims dig at Alonso over ‘unsafe’ Leclerc incident
Alonso made a mistake and ran wide through the gravel during the race in Qatar, crossing the track at a 90-degree angle and cutting in front of Leclerc’s Ferrari. He was reprimanded by the stewards for the unsafe move. Vasseur, the team principal, criticized Alonso and suggested that he would have complained if the roles were reversed. Leclerc, however, downplayed the incident, saying that Alonso was so far off that he probably didn’t see him and that he may not have been aware of his presence. Alonso admitted his mistake and attributed it to struggling with grip in the car. He hopes to perform better in the future.
