Antonelli, the reigning Formula Regional European champion, has skipped Formula 3, entering Formula 2 this season at just 17 years old. While Antonelli was initially linked to a Mercedes F1 seat in 2025, he is now being considered for an earlier entry onto the F1 grid. Sargeant, struggling in his F1 career, has faced challenges matching his teammate and has had multiple setbacks, including being benched at the Australian Grand Prix. Williams is evaluating whether to replace Sargeant for long-term competitiveness, potentially considering Antonelli as a candidate for the seat.
