The Ferrari driver has explained how he set-up the move that grabbed P2 at the end of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, as he divebombed Sergio Perez at the end of the Strip.
Charles Leclerc used Sergio Perez’s earlier mistake as inspiration for his overtake on the final lap of the Las Vegas Grand Prix. He pulled 7G in deceleration force to pass Perez at the end of the straight and secure second place. This was Leclerc’s best result since finishing second in Austria. He had made a minor mistake earlier, which allowed Perez to overtake, so he prepared for the move by noting the mistake and recharging his batteries. Leclerc was confident it would work out and enjoyed the tight fight. He was also happy to finish the weekend on a high note after the troublesome start.
